Trailer: Twilight Sasara Saya

Here’s a nice trailer (in Japanese without English subtitles) for upcoming Japanese drama Twilight Sasara Saya. It is directed by Yoshihiro Fukagawa, who had 2 films featured at the 2011 Japanese Film Festival – medical drama In His Chart and food film Patisserie Coin de Rue.

Twilight Sasara Saya stars Yui Aragaki in her first role playing a mother, Yo Oizumi (When Marnie Was There) and Rila Fukushima (The Wolverine). By the way, Aragaki played the female lead in one of my favourite films at the 2010 JFF, Hanamizuki (and you can check out my review of the film over at the Official JFF Blog).

Synopsis (via Asian Wiki): Saya (Yui Aragaki) is a young widow mother. Her husband Yutaro (Yo Oizumi) died in an accident. Yutaro abandoned his wealthy family to marry Saya. To protect her baby, she goes to the town of Sasara where her aunt lived. Her aunt passed her house down to Saya. Saya and her baby settle down there, but she has difficulties dealing with her situation. At this time, her dead husband Yutaro borrows other people's bodies to help Saya, but Yutaro's family tries to take her baby away.

Twilight Sasara Saya will be released in Japanese cinemas on 8 November.
